It isn’t all about the honey, Honey! Join beekeeper and mead maker Jozef Winter to learn about the history, practice and methods of making mead. Enjoy a vertical tasting led by Head Beekeeper Rebecca Lamb, to try the TBG’s own honey and then bottle up your own sweet elixir to take home.

Pollinators and pollinator friendly gardens are all the buzz now! Join resident beekeeper Mylee Nordin for a teacher training session on how to go from A to Bee when creating a program around pollinators. Talk plans, community engagement, equip¬ment/resources, Toronto’s pollinators, applicable teachings, linking curriculum and how to get support for success.

Including seven in-class and “in-hive” sessions, this series provides grounding in basic beekeeping for two groups of 15 students per year. Please choose Group A (more weekdays) or Group B (more weekends) when registering. Some sessions combine both groups.
